We had a good visit last night. She was very relaxed and she slept most of the time we were there. She would stretch and then settle down again. Her update this morning was very promising. She weighs 1lb 8 oz and is still holding her own. She was put on CPAP with pressure which is a step up from the ventilator but she still has a breathing tube. If she does well in the next couple of days they will try to switch her to just CPAP. This would be great if she could start breathing on her own, but if she doesn't we won't be too disappointed. She is so tiny and it is hard work to breathe on your own. Whatever happens we are ok with. We are taking it one day at a time. The Lord knows what he is doing and we have faith and trust in him to take care of our angel.
They are going to introduce breast milk this morning. They will start with 5 ml every six hours. She may not be able to digest quite yet so we'll see how it goes. She will have another brain and heart ultrasound tomorrow. When they called me with report yesterday they told me it would be today but I guess the Dr. changed his mind.
Please continue to pray for our beautiful miracle. The prayers are working wonderfully. We are blessed to have such a great support system.
